Building Structures

The core focus of our company since inception has been the design and analysis of Building Structures. Over the years we have designed numerous building structures from Maine to Florida and as far west as Texas. From single story shopping centers to multi-story office buildings and apartments, our staff of engineers is experienced in all aspects of building structure design. We have extensive experience in the design of buildings using steel framing, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, CMU, wood, and cold-formed metal framing.

In 2009 we began to delve into the realm of Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Autodesk Revit Structure. Since then we have continued to make an investment in BIM technology and we currently have Autodesk REVIT Structure networked throughout our office. We have documented more than 50 projects utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) software since implementation. These projects range in scale from $2 million to $50 million. Our lead BIM designers have been using REVIT Structure for more than 7 years. We have since created a customized library of REVIT families to aide in the drawing production.

Our Building Structures practice provides a wide range of structural engineering services on projects of all sizes and complexities. Including both new construction and renovations to existing structures, every project regardless of its size is given the attention to detail that Michael A. Beach & Associates has come to be known for.  In all of our projects, we seek new solutions to meet the demands of function, budget, constructability, sustainability, and aesthetics with our clients. Apart from structural design, we also have experience performing feasibility studies, peer reviews, and value engineering.
